About the Opportunity

Our client is a leading global financial institution and they are seeking an experienced communications professional to lead strategic communications initiatives supporting wealth management, corporate banking, and business transformation priorities within Singapore.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, this role will play a critical part in shaping customer, leadership, internal, and external communications while protecting and enhancing the organization's reputation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior communications practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and enjoys partnering with senior executives on high-profile strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Communications

  • Develop and deliver integrated customer communication strategies for business transformation and strategic change programmes.
  • Establish and maintain communications governance frameworks to ensure messaging consistency across channels and audiences.
  • Create clear customer-centric narratives that support business objectives and enhance customer engagement.

Leadership Communications

  • Partner closely with senior executives to develop high-impact communications.
  • Prepare speeches, presentations, leadership messages, opinion pieces, internal announcements, and social media content.
  • Support executive visibility initiatives and stakeholder engagement programmes.

 

Internal Communications

  • Design and execute employee communication strategies that connect teams to the organization's vision, strategy, and culture.
  • Develop engaging campaigns, storytelling content, and change communications initiatives.
  • Promote employee success stories and strategic achievements across internal and global communication platforms.

External Communications & Media Relations

  • Build and maintain solid relationships with media and key external stakeholders.
  • Develop compelling media materials, press announcements, briefing documents, and thought leadership content.
  • Drive proactive storytelling that strengthens brand profile and market positioning.

Issues & Crisis Communications

  • Support crisis preparedness and response initiatives.
  • Develop and execute crisis communication plans during sensitive or high-profile situations.
  • Protect and enhance corporate reputation through effective stakeholder communications.

Requirements

  • Degree in Communications or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Media Relations, Internal Communications, Executive Communications, or related disciplines.
  • Financial services, banking, wealth management, fintech, or other regulated industry experience.
  • Proven ability to influence, engage, and advise senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience operating effectively in complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editorial capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging content across multiple platforms and audiences.

Good-to-Have Experience

  • Crisis communications and reputation management exposure.
  • Media relations experience with proven success in generating positive coverage.
  • Social media content creation and digital communications experience.
  • Multimedia capabilities including video content creation and editing.
